The Mediterranean film festival will be back in Tetouan, Morocco, from March 29 until April 5. Famous Syrian filmmaker Mohamed Malas will chair the feature film jury in this 20th edition hosted in the city listed among Unesco world heritage sites for its splendid medina.
Another celebrated name for the week-long Arab art event, is Marianne Khoury, the Egyptian filmmaker and producer who will chair the documentary jury. Related to the great Youssef Chahine, she was a director of the international film festival in Cairo.
The short-film jury will be chaired by Spanish filmmaker and producer Ismael Marti.
Created in 1984 as ”cinema meetings in Tetouan”, the event has become over the years Morocco’s top international festival.
