A young phones salesman threatened to commit suicide if he did not get the floor to speak with the public prosecutor.
The police used force against the gathering crowd which led to violent clashes.
Several shops were reported as damaged, 13 individuals were arrested and the salesman is severely injured in the hips and shoulders due to the fall.
According to the AMDH (Moroccan Association for Human Rights), the young salesman who is accused of selling stolen phones, filed a complaint with the public prosecutor against a police officer who bought a phone from him, and still owed him money.
The young man has also accused the officer of mistreating him and confiscating his stock.
