In a statement to the TV station, a young resident of Tindouf ensures that women in the camps are subject to rape and humiliating practices. He recalls the testimony of a woman sexually abused by Mohamed Lamine Ould El- Bouhali, Polisario’s defence minister.

The same young man adds: “while the camp population suffers from hunger, ignorance and abuse, Polisario leaders are trafficking in the humanitarian aids, which are intended for the camp’s population. They do not care about our problems and suffering as they are comfortably living in their luxurious homes in Algeria, Mauritania and Spain.”
