Bilateral relations between Morocco and the EU have been particularly dynamic in 2013 and most of the recommendations of 2012’s report were followed, according to the European Commission in their report for this year’s ENP (European Neighborhood Policy), which addresses EU-Morocco relations, among others.

The report highlights the signing in June of a joint declaration establishing a partnership between Morocco and the European Union and the start of negotiations for a full and comprehensive Free Trade Agreement; two negotiation sessions were held in 2013.

In terms of internal affairs, a number of reforms in the Constitution of 2011 have not yet been met, while legislative processes are on-going. This is especially the case in the field of justice, the fight against corruption, equality between men and women among others.
