Moroccan international Oussama Assaidi announced that the Moroccan team is in need of a new coach. The same player declares that he sees a foreign coach as a better fit for the Atlas lions.

“I think first they have to find a good coach – not a Moroccan coach, but one from outside,” Assaidi said.

The Moroccan team has been without a permanent coach for a while now and the name Herve Renard, the current manager of the French FC Sochaux.

Assaidi declares that Morocco is not just lacking a good coach, but also team spirit. He adds: “We have very good players but yet we are not a good team. We have to be more of a team not everyone just playing for themselves,” he said.

It is important to note that the Moroccan team’s performance has been below average for many years, even the number of supporters in stadiums has drastically decreased.

Morocco will host the next African Nations Cup in 2015 and the Moroccan public is not going to settle for anything but good results from their national team, which in terms of players and budget, should be among the best in Africa and even on the international level.
