The Compensation system costs increased by a 258% factor in the last 10 years, pro PJD party Attajdid news outlet reported.
Namely, the costs increased from 4Milliard Dirhams to 56.3 Milliard Dirhams.
This amount used to represent 0.9% of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Ten years later, it represents 6.8% of the country’s GDP.
Attajdid also said that just between 2009 and 2013, the total cost of the compensation system was 194.8 Milliard of Dhirhams.
83.3% of that amount was used to compensate for petroleum products, 10% for sugar products, and a mere 6.7 % for flour products.
