Moroccan Health Minister Houcine El Ouardi published on Tuesday in the Official Bulletin the list of about 400 drugs whose prices were subject to reductions.
These reductions are the result of long and difficult negotiations between the Ministry of Health, pharmaceutical industries, and drug store syndicates.
While some medicine prices experienced slight changes, others, especially drugs whose price exceed 50 MAD, were subject to up to 50% cuts.
The new prices will be effective starting June 19 and will remain unchanged for a period of two years.
