An earthquake of a 7.7 magnitude struck off the Solomon Islands yesterday night.
The event occurred only hours after another 7.6 tremor, the US Geological Survey said.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning center said A tsunami warning has been issued for the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.
