The Spanish government has welcomed the adopted measures by the Moroccan government, regarding the defense and the respect of human rights in the country.
“Spain welcomes the measures undertaken by the Moroccan authorities to further the respect of human rights in the kingdom” as stated in a statement delivered by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in response to the latest report, submitted to the Security Council about the Sahara affair, by the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki -Moon.
The Spanish Foreign Affairs and Cooperation ministry also added that the adoption of these measures is “a positive step towards the promotion of human rights and freedoms in Morocco”.
