Authorities at the Customs services of the port of Nador have successfully stopped the attempt to smuggle 60 swords and 120 sabre cases, which were transported via a van registered at Sète, France.

These illegal arms were found among 125 batches of unaccompanied baggage, while carrying a search of the vehicle at the border post of Beni Ensar, says the Customs Administration in a statement.

The swords varied in size from 35 to 70 cm. The driver of the vehicle was handed over to the Judicial police for further investigation, adds the same source.
