Herve Renard distanced himself from reports that state his appointment as coach for the Moroccan National team.
Currently Morocco is seeking a replacement for Rachid Taoussi, who was let go last year.
The Atlas Lions were believed to want the winner of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia.
However, Renard told BBC Sport: “At the moment I am in France and my first priority is to stay in Europe – at Sochaux or to move to a better team.”
Renard’s mission with Sochaux is tough as the team is 18th out of 20 in the French league, with only four games left they are at risk of dropping to the Second Division.
