Jihan and Hiba, the two students who were rapped last summer after they went out celebrating their high school graduation, have forgiven their rapists in a very unexpected move.
According to a public announcement made last Thursday by Ilham Lahreche, a member of the National Committee in Support of Victims of Rape, Jihan and Hiba showed their unequaled kindness when forgiving Rabii Tazi and Khalil Ben Driss, after they received a sincere apology from their abusers.
Last summer, the two young men, who apparently studied in the same school with the victims, were found guilty of rape and were sentenced to four years each.
After spending only 9 months behind bars, the two young men were released.
