The Directorate of National Security, headed by Bouchaib Armel, have circulated a note to all branches that calls for denouncing and reporting all crimes related to corruption, embezzlement, bribery and abuse of power.
According to the daily “Sahifat An-nas”, this memo has a goal of establishing and reinforcing mutual trust between the police and citizens, as well as encouraging potential victims to report any harassment that they may face through excessive use of force or abuse of power by law enforcement officers.
