A Chinese merchant in Casablanca was sentenced Tuesday by the Ain Sebaa Court to one month in prison for “possession of weapons without authorization”.

Police authorities have previously put their hands on 167 swords in his shop, during the latest anti-crime campaigns.

The same individual was also charged with a fine of 100,000 Dhs to be paid as compensation to the Customs Administration.

These swords were smuggled and stored in a warehouse/shop that was occupied by the defendant, in the center of the economic capital, which were discovered by the authorities during their operation against “Tcharmil”.
