During a recent visit of a FIFA delegation in order to evaluate touristic and football-related logistics and services, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) expressed its preference of Agadir instead of Rabat to host the next FIFA Club World Cup, commonly known as Mondialito.

Both Blatter and Issa Hayatou affirmed their admiration of the City of Agadir due to the availability of luxurious hotels and professional touristic services.

On the other hand, the Royal Federation of Moroccan Football (FRMF) and the Ministry of Youth are pushing for Rabat to be a co-host of the event alongside Marrakech.

According to Chtouka Press, sources close to the FRMF said that this stance is due to Tariq Kabbage, Agadir’s Municipality president, and his mistreatment of the Organizing committee, as well as several obstacles that were put by him during the previous Mondialito.
