The Istiqlal parliamentary group for unity and egalitarianism in the House of Representatives has just submitted a proposal for a new law against racism.

In Its dues, the acts of xenophobia and racism are expected to be triply punished in case the responsible of such behaviour is a public official, a member of the security forces or an arm bearer while carrying on their public duties.

With the growing number of sub-Saharan and European nationals to have set sail in Morocco as a place to live, such measure can be considered as a welcomed one in a country where diversification is happening faster than any preceding period in the Kingdom’s history.
