Security services in Oujda have successfully dismantled a criminal network specialized in international cigarette smuggling through the eastern borders of the country.
The operation took place in a farm near the city of Ahfir, which is located in the Berkane province. Said operation has led to the arrest of three individuals, the seizure of 70,000 packs of cigarettes, five vehicles, four mobile phones, and a shotgun without a license, reveals a statement made by the prefecture of Oujda and relayed by Aufait news outlet.
The members of this network were put in custody to conduct the required investigations under the supervision of the General Prosecutor before being brought to justice.
