Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Agriculture and maritime Fisheries, has been quoted saying that “The Moroccan Green Plan for agriculture has attracted 15 Billions MDH total funds since it was launched in 2008”.

According to the same minister, these funds came mainly from the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development, the World Bank and the European Union.

While responding to an oral question in the house of representatives, the minister mentioned that “the diversification of financial resources strongly confirms Morocco’s partners and donors confidence in this outstanding plan”.

Mr. Akhannouch also noted that the Green Plan recorded an annual growth rate of 7.6%, due to several factors, including the expansion of farmlands, which have been expanding from 450 Thousand hectares in 2008 to 8 Millions in 2014.
