As Germany celebrated their World Cup triumph, German star Toni Kroos confirmed after the final against Argentina that he is leaving Bayern Munich to join Real Madrid this summer.
A move from German midfielder to the Spanish capital was linked a couple of weeks ago, but Kroos refused to comment so that he can focus on the World Cup.
Kroos revealed right after the final: “We’ve finished the World Cup in the best way possible. Now I’m going to Madrid, so that’s two dreams achieved.”
Official announcements are yet to be made by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. According to Spanish media, the deal was around 25 million euros and Toni Kroos is set to be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu some time next week.
