According to reports in Italy, the Moroccan talisman Mehdi Benatia will stay in Roma for the next spell.
After having made a superb maiden season at Roma last spell, most of Europe’s big clubs were linked to the defender, especially Manchester City.
However, Talk Sport reported the player saying, to some of A.S Roma’s supporters, that he will be staying for another season at the club.
“Speaking to a group of Roma supporters, who unfurled a banner in support of him at the club’s training camp in Trigoria, he said: ‘Thanks for the affection. I think I will stay here.'”
It is worth reminding that many clubs were interested in luring the Moroccan talisman. The list includes: Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Arsenal.
