Announced through Helas Verona’s official website, Moroccan international Mounir Obbadi signed a one year deal with the Italian club that remarkably finished 10th last season after being promoted from Serie B.
The contract includes a purchasing option of 3 M Euros that could enable Mounir to stay at the club permanently.
The defensive midfielder, 31, played most of his career in France in clubs such as PSG, Troyes, and AS Monaco.
This would be Obbadi’s first experience in a foreign league after he established himself last season as one of the best defensive midfielders in France scoring 3 goals and delivering 2 assists in 34 appearances.
The late bloomer’s displays allowed him to be regularly called up by the three last coaches of the Atlas Lions Rachid Taoussi, Hassan Benabicha, and Badou Zaki.
