Several international flights to and from Israel are suspended indefinitely over security concerns.

Delta was the first carrier to suspend all flights to and from Israel after they diverted a flight carrying 273 passengers en route to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport to Paris following “reports of a rocket or associated debris near the airport in Tel Aviv.”

It was followed by Air France and Dutch airlines KLM.

An Air France Spokesperson announced the decision to suspend all flights due to the evolution of the security situation in the region. He added that the decision will come into effect immediately and remains until further notice.

The decision is likely to deliver a substantial blow to the tourism industry in Israel – the sector that has already suffered during the conflict.

On the 15th day of conflict, the death toll topped 600 in Gaza with over 3700 injured.
