Champions Moghreb Tetouan have proven that they are serious about competing in the many competitions (Botola, African Champions League, Throne Cup, FIFA Club World Cup…) they are enlisted in next season by luring Abdessamad Rafik.
The announcement came through the Tetouani club’s official website. The experienced forward, 32, has put pen to paper on a one year contract after being transferred from Olympic Safi.
The transfer comes almost as a reward to Rafik since he scored a dramatic winning goal against Raja Casablanca last season which had MAT crowned Botola Pro 1 champions.
Abdessamad would be MAT’s sixth signing this summer as rumors are intensifying concerning Youness El Haouassi from Wydad. The club has been very active quantity and quality-wise by bringing Mourtada Fall, Said Guerada, Anouar Hadouir, Faouzi Abdelghani, and most likely El Haouassi.
