Nearly 1,000 migrants attempted to cross the border to Melilla on Wednesday morning. According to Spanish authorities, no one succeeded to cross the security apparatus surrounding the city.
This year, Melilla has been the subject to an important pressure, as groups of migrants have been attempting to cross its 11 km long and 7 meters-high wall surrounding the city.
The previous attempt dates back to June 29, when 500 migrants tried to cross the border with the purpose of immigrating to Spain.
