Oxford Business Group: Moroccan Companies are Replacing French ones in Africa

Prior to the USA-Africa summit, which will be held in the United States, Oxford Business Group (OBG) highlighted in its recently published report about the African Economics “the strong presence of Moroccan companies in the Francophone Africa”.

“Many Moroccan banks have made significant investments in various sectors in African countries, namely telecommunications and insurance fields, ” according to the OBG report.

The leading business intelligence firm OBG mentioned also that “following the recent global economic and financial crisis, many French firms and companies withdrew from Africa”.

The Moroccan banks of Attijariwafa bank, BMCE and the Popular bank have lately managed to cover all the West and Central African countries.
