Manchester city’s manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed today that the Former Chelsea captain Frank Lampard will be part of Manchester City’s Premier League squad for the new season, after the player agreed a six-month loan from MLS team New York City FC.
The former Real Madrid coach stated:”At the moment, he will start working with our squad because he is a member of the squad.”
“He will be in the fight for a position. We have a very good team. He is one player more. We have a lot of competition, especially in the Champions League, so he is very important to our team.” Pellegrini adds.
Frank Lampard signed a two years contract with New York City Football Club. Since the MLS ( Major League Soccer) will not start until 2015, Lampard is taking this opportunity with Manchester city to stay in both mental and physical shape.
