The Spanish ILAS (Industrias Lacteas Asturianas) group, specializing in the production of cheese and milk powder, is intending to open its first African plant in Morocco.
According to Francisco Rodriguez, founder of the ILAS group, this plant is targeting the Moroccan market as a first phase in the horizon of expanding to other African states.
ILAS group, known mainly for its Reny Picot and Polesa brands, has already four plants in Spain and several others around the world (France, USA, China Mexico, Poland).
The group intends to consolidate its status as the largest Spanish dairy multinational, with a turnover of around €700 million, 40% of which is made via its international investments.
