Ebola Update: Moroccan Ministry of Health Says No Ebola in Morocco

The Moroccan Ministry of Health released an update today about the Ebola Epidemic situation in Morocco.

The Ministry of health affirmed that no confirmed Ebola cases have been witnessed in Morocco.

The Moroccan Ministry of Health added that since last April, it is still following to the letter the measures of the International Health System following the outbreak of the deadly disease from Guinea.

Since April, monitoring at the level of international Moroccan airports and other access points has been strengthened.

On paper, Morocco is immune to Ebola as the only way that the virus  could get to Morocco is through the country’s international airports, as the borders with Algeria are closed, while in the south of the country, a 2700 km-long  wall is separating Morocco from other territories occupied by the Polisario Front.
