Morocco’s Exports: A Significant Increase in Automobiles against a Decrease in Phosphates

According to the last report published by the Moroccan Office of Exchange, Morocco’s exports of Phosphate and its derivatives has totaled, to only 21.74 Billion MDH by the end of July 2014, a decline of 6.5 % relative to the same period last year, where the exports reached 23.25 Billion MDH.

Morocco’s exports of pharmaceuticals have increased by 5.9% while those of electronics have experienced a net increase of 24.9%. Regarding the aerospace and textile exports, a respective increase of 5.9% and 2.8% has been registered.

Figures from the Office also show that the automobile sector has topped Morocco’s exports with an increase of 37.4%.
