King Mohammed VI Pardons 292 Convicts On the Sidelines of “King And People’s Revolution Day”

On the sidelines of the 61st anniversary of the “King and People’s Revolution Day”, celebrated yesterday in Morocco, the Ministry of Justice announced that  King Mohammed VI pardoned 292 convicts.

As relayed by La Map, find underneath a description of the detained beneficiaries of the pardon:

– 272 prisoners had their prison terms reduced.

– 2 inmates’ life sentences commuted to limited prison terms.

The free beneficiaries of the pardon:

– 6 convicts benefited from pardon over their imprisonment terms.

– 12 had their fines annulled.

It is worth pointing out that in Morocco, King Mohammed VI grants on the occasion of religious and major national celebrations his pardon to prisoners incarcerated for various charges across Morocco’s prisons.
