The Moroccan Interior ministry has announced the arrest of six new self proclaimed Jihadists linked to the so called “Islamic State” terrorist organisation. Two among these Jihadists were arrested while leaving Morocco to join the “Islamic State” in Irak and Syria.
Primary investigations have confirmed that at least one of the “Jihadists” was in “close contact with a criminal network operating in the city of Fez dismantled last August, 14th 2014” the interior ministry reported in its press release.
The eight Jihadists will be soon brought before the terrorism prosecution court in Rabat.
