18-year-old Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi was picked yesterday to play alongside Lionel Messi in his debut game in La Liga.
The young Moroccan did not miss the opportunity to score his first official goal, although he could have hit the net twice since he was unfortunate to see his shoot hit the woodwork from close-range in before the break.
The 18-year-old player said he was honored to play alongside Messi.
Munir told Canal+ the following:
“I’m very happy with my debut, the goal and the team’s work
“The truth is that it’s an honor to score at Camp Nou, play alongside Lionel Messi and all the first team players.
“Luis Enrique told me to keep doing it this way. I hope to get some minutes, I’ll keep working and see what happens.
“He’s a coach who asks us to work, work and work. That’s what I’ve done and that’s what I’ll keep doing. My goal is for my parents, my brothers and all my family who supported me.”
