Dutch Prime Minister, Lodewijk Asscher, has changed the tone vis-à-vis to imams that spread hatred in Netherlands by finding excuses for terrorist acts.
“Imams who are advocating terrorism in their sermons will have a hard time,” Lodewijk Asscher was quoted saying.
The Dutch minister of Social Affairs has also threatened foreign Imams of expulsion for the same reasons. “If a Syrian imam wants to preach here and his intentions are not peaceful, he will not have a visa anymore,” the Social Affairs minister declared.
This decision is part of a broad program to fight against the radicalization of young Dutchs, on the sidelines of the latest statistics that show that around one hundred Dutch “Jihadists” are currently active in Syria, while a dozen of others were killed in the war raging in said country.
