Moroccan and Spanish Interior Ministers Met in Tetouan to Further Anti-Terrorism Cooperation

The Moroccan Minister of Interior and his Spanish counterpart have held a working meeting in Tetouan.

The meeting was devoted to the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking, the 2014 transit operation, irregular migration and the maintenance of security and stability at the regional level.

The two Interior Ministers renewed their commitment to improve other mechanisms for the exchange of information between their  intelligence services, particularly regarding networks recruiting fighters for terrorist groups.

In their published joint statement, the Ministers “recalled the strength of relations uniting His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Felipe VI, the quality of cooperation between their governments and the commitment of the two people to the values ​​of democracy, freedom, tolerance and good neighborliness”.
