PJD Calls for UN observers to Monitor the 2015 Communal Elections

The parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Political Party (PJD) has called for the “monitoring of the upcoming Moroccan 2015 communal elections by UN observers”.

The group has successfully managed to get the permanent parliamentary committee adopt a bill to modify the 30-11 law handling the way to observe local elections.

The 30-11 law allows Moroccan elections to be observed by internal organisations, without specifications.

However, PJD members are now advocate and aiming that UN observers will head to Morocco to monitor, as in their view,  “UN observers are the most specialized and experienced in this regard”.
