The Moroccan authorities confirmed the banning of an activity organized by the Amnesty International Morocco-section last Monday in the city of Bouznika.
The authorities said the activity was banned because the said organization “did not provide any authorization by the competent authorities as the article 3 of Dahir n 1-58-377 on public gatherings, stipulates.”
The Moroccan authorities stressed that Amnesty International Morocco-section not only did not inform the authorities about the topic of the event and the nationalities of the participants, but also, and most importantly, did not inform them about the organization of the event itself.
