The Moroccan Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, Lahcen Daoudi, said, on the sidelines of a workshop organized by the Faculty of the Sciences of Education yesterday in Rabat, that “We can’t say that Morocco’s universities produce only unemployed people,” adding that he expects youth unemployment to increase in Morocco year after year, “if the Moroccan economy does not witness a yearly GDP of 7 to 8%.”

Daoudi went on further to say that youth unemployment is a worldwide problem that concerns all countries, adding that Morocco does not witness the “highest numbers” in this regard.

Daoudi added that the responsibility lies on Morocco’s Educational system, firstly, as well as Morocco’s corporations, secondly, to find a solution to this problem.
