Brazilian Tourists in Morocco up 40%.

The number of Brazilian tourists who visited Morocco during the first half of the year 2014 rocketed by 40% compared to figures from the same period of last year.

Namely, by the end of July 13,400 Brazilians visited Morocco, the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) reported.

The numbers were revealed by the Moroccan National Tourist Office in Lisbon, through its Brazilian market representative, Abdellatif Achachi.

Achachi stressed that most Brazilians who visited Morocco during the aforementioned period landed either in Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport (4,400 arrivals) or in the Marrakech-Menara Airport (6,100 arrivals).

Achachi showed pessimism mingled with an optimist spleen when he said that “despite the recent growth, the Moroccan market is yet to become an official market for Brazilian tourists.”

The man said that the progress is there but still Morocco needs to walk more strides ahead.
