An interviewer from the American Association Campus Reform asked several Harvard University students “who they believed posed a bigger threat to world peace, the United States or the terror organization so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)?”

Many believed the USA was a greater threat to world peace than ISIS.

One female student said: “I think American imperialism and our protection of oil interests in the Middle East are destabilizing the region and allowing groups like ISIS to gain power. We are at some level the cause of it.”

Another student, when asked again which is more dangerous to world peace in the world, replied: “It’s America. America’s making decisions that are much more likely to affect the world.”

A male student said: “As a western civilization, we’re to blame for a lot of the problems that we’re facing now. I don’t think anyone would argue that we didn’t create the problem of ISIS ourselves.”
