An array of South African and Zambian news outlets (example) shared wrong stories today arguing that Morocco has officially postponed the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations due to the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the continent.
The Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Mohammed Ouzzine, has already said that Morocco is ready to host the tournament though preferring it to be postponed and never said “Morocco is officially postponing it.”
As a matter of fact, in a recent interview with Sky News Arabia, Ouzzine said that “the last decision will be made by early January.”
The aforementioned stories shared by the South African and Zambian news outlets are “void of truth” and may be described as “propaganda articles.”
