Australian petroleum exploration and production company Woodside Petroleum Limited, the largest operator of oil and gas production in Australia, will begin soon exploring off Morocco’s shores.
The Moroccan National Bureau of Petroleum and Mines (ONHYM) has signed recently an exclusive contract with the leading Australian company.
Woodside will prospect the “Rabat Ultra Deep Offshore” area, which spreads over 36,737 sq km offshore.
On success the Australian company will have a 25% interest.
