Alert: Morocco’s National Weather Directorate Alerts Against New Wave of Floods Starting from Friday

The Moroccan National Weather Directorate has yet again alerted yesterday against more heavy rainfalls and floods that may hit most regions of Morocco in the upcoming days, while stressing more on the southern part of the country, and especially for next Friday and Saturday.

The Moroccan National Weather Directorate said that the alert concerns the cities of Agadir, Inzegane, Ait Melloul, Essaouira, Taroudant, Al Haouz, Tiznit, Chtouka Ait Baha and Chichawa.

Other regions of Morocco will be witness rain showers. Namely, Chefchaouen, Ouezzane, Larache, Tangier, Sidi Kacem, Kenitra, Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Temara, Mohammedia, Casablanca, El Jadida, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Rhamna Youssoufiya, Marrakech, Nouaceur, Settat, Berrechid, Khouribga, Khénifra, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Kalat Sraghna, Fqih Ben Saleh, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Figuig, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim and Tata.

El Hajeb, Ifrane, and other cities may even witness snow falls.

It is important to stress that in case of floods, crossing over flooded bridges with vehicles, or as pedestrians, is very dangerous and should be avoided.
