An Italian activist on Friday sustained a live bullet injury after the Israeli forces attacked a peaceful demonstration staged in Kafr Qaddum village, West of Ramallah city.

The activist, identified as Prodo Corsi, was rushed to the hospital to be urgently treated for chest injuries he sustained during the protest march of Kafr Qaddum, the WAFA News Agency said.

Palestinian Minister of Health Jawad Awwad said that Corsi was in critical condition as a result of the shooting, PIC reported.

Several Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation during the protest.

Protests are held every Friday in Kafr Qaddum against Israel’s closure of a main road linking the village with its nearest city, Nablus.
