Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, his sons, his Interior Minister Habib El-Adly and his top aides were all sentenced not guilty by an Egyptian judge in killing protesters in the January 2011 revolution.

Also, Mubarak and his two sons were also acquitted from all corruption charges involving selling natural gas to Israel, illicit gains and others.

Back in June 2012, Mubarak and his co-defendants were found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The initial verdict was appealed successfully and a retrial began in April 2013.
