Despite the huge scandal that was triggered by the $22 Million renovated Moulay Abdellah stadium’s pitch getting heavily waterlogged during last week’s game that opposed Western Sydney Wanderers to Cruz Azul, Morocco’s Minister of Sports and Youth Mr. Ouzzine told leading Moroccan news outlet Hespress that he is “not intending to resign” and that he has” rather opened a thorough investigation.”

Many Moroccans, over the net, called upon King Mohammed VI or Morocco’s head of government to intervene to sack Ouzzine as “he is the first and the last responsible for this fiasco, no matter what, given the irrefutable fact that he is the Minister of Sports” and “the Minister of Sports is the first and the last responsible for his Ministry’s actions.”

A wave of anger and condemnation was echoed by Moroccans at Ouzzine when he attended the Real Madrid vs Cruse Azul game. Around 40000 supporters were caught shouting live on air for his sacking, with some even literally insulting him calling him “a thief.”

Over the net, the hash-tag  #Ouzzine_Degage (Ouzzine Resign in English) calling for his sacking gained a lot of momentum with some Moroccans saying they “won’t be satisfied with the scapegoat investigation” and that Ouzzine must resign.
