Spanish Minister Praises Morocco’s Cooperation in the Fight Against So-called Islamic State

The Spanish Interior Minister, Jorge Fernández Díaz, lauded of praise Morocco for it collaboration in the fight against the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and terrorism at large.

In an interview given to Spanish channels, in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks, the Spanish Minister stressed that “more than 600 militants came back to Europe after they left the continent few months ago for Syria and Iraq.”

The Spanish Minister further noted that “the militants that have successfully returned to Europe constitute a real danger.”

The Spanish Interior Minister seized the occasion to praise Morocco for its collaboration in both “limiting the influx of returning jihadis” and “arresting those on the verge of traveling to Syria and Iraq.”
