US President Barack Obama took to the defense of Muslims and Islam yesterday when he said that ISIS and Al-Qaeda “terrorists do not speak for a billion Muslims,” further stressing that terrorist groups “like the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda are desperate for legitimacy.”
“They try to portray themselves as religious leaders, holy warriors,” Obama noted further.
“They are not religious leaders, they are terrorists. We are not at war with Islam.”
“These terrorists are a threat first and foremost to the communities they target,” Obama added.
