The Moroccan authorities condemned, in the harshest terms, the armed attack that targeted last Friday a hotel in Morocco’s friend country Mali, a terrorist attack perpetrated in the Malian capital Bamako.
In the aftermath of the tragic event that left several casualties among innocent civilians, including foreigners, a statement from Morocco’s Foreign Office read that “while presenting its sincere condolences and compassion to the families of the victims as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded, the Kingdom of Morocco expresses its solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of Mali and reiterates its support to all efforts of the authorities of this brotherly country, in fighting acts of violence and extremism, in order to establish peace and security and preserve the country’s unity and sovereignty.”
