Morocco Web Awards Unveils Its 2015 Edition Winners

Morocco Web Awards unveiled its 8th edition winners, in an event held last Saturday night in Rabat, at Hyatt Regency Hotel, a ceremony that attracted an audience of over thousands people.

This annual celebration was an occasion to reward active and innovative Moroccan bloggers, influencers, and web entrepreneurs.

More than 500 participants took part of this year’s competition, a record that exploded the number of the organization’s website visitors, recording during the exercise more than 204 000 votes.

Younes Qassimi, director of Synergie Media, highlighted in his opening speech the important role that digital media plays today while thanking their new official partner Inwi and longtime gold partner Microsoft for their continuous support.

Hosted by Younes Lazrak, the official ceremony has also marked the presence of raising young Moroccan artists such as Siraj Band, Eko and Barbapappa.

  • Podcaster of the year: Simo Sedraty
  • Blogger of the year: Hamid Oumoumen
  • Creative of the year: Mehdi Annassi
  • Instagram user: Marouane Beslem
  • Online article of the year: طاح الشعر و بقات الكرامة
  • Webzine: NssNss.ma
  • Picture of the year: الوحدة في الاختلاف
  • Video of the year: المغربي ملي كطيح ليه 200 درهم
  • Mobile application: Hellofood
  • Web application: Carte.ma
  • Start-up: Vayago.ma

    It is worth reminding that Morocco Web Awards was launched in Casablanca back in 2008 by Synergie Media. Since then, the event kept growing over the years to become the biggest web competition in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
