A delegation from the U.S. Congress, headed by Mr. Hal Rogers, President of the Commission for the budget in the House of Representatives, is currently on a visit to Morocco.
The delegation met held a meeting with Morocco’s Delegate Minister to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ms. Mbarka Bouaida.
The visit reinforced Congressional support for Morocco’s development of the Sahara.
Mr. Hal Rogers welcomed “the quality of historical relationships between Morocco and the United States,” reiterating his country’s “readiness to promote and strengthen bilateral relations particularly in the security sphere,” a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said.
“The two sides stressed the need to firmly and seriously fight all fundamentalist and terrorist movements that threaten the stability and security of all countries in the region,”the aforementioned statement added.
